83 Gallery is a d.i.y gallery art house located at 83 W 1st Ave. Their unique “art world” experience is the perfect stop on your way to or from the gallery hop. 83 Gallery held it’s 6th opening during the June Gallery Hop featuring 13 new artists.

Celebrating the holiday, 83 Gallery will hold it’s 7th opening on Saturday, June 4th. Featuring 5 new and 11 resident artists this month. This month’s show will include live mural painting, an exclusive sunporch exhibition by Nick Stull, and a Cava toast at 10:30pm. Doors open at 6pm. The first 150 guests will receive sparklers!

O.K. - so we love a great event and party - that’s why CowTV attends the ComFest every year and has provided great video footage of the event over the years.  This year, we offer both photographs and video!  Below are highlights from the photos we took - enjoy!  Video to be posted soon, so check back!

Yeah!  That’s just how ZOMBIES ROLL! (or shuffle)

Once a year… a strange event takes place amidst the living (yes, you read that correctly) - ZOMBIES CONGREGATE AND WALK FREELY AMONGST THE LIVING!  It’s actually easier than herding cats!

CowTV appreciates a good Zombie movie - most notably titles like Shawn of the Dead, 28 Days Later, and Resident Evil: Extinction (to name a few - and DUH!… Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead, Day of the Dead… there… happy now?).  So, when you hear that Zombies are going to gather in a nearby park and walk together… you just gotta check it out!  AND WE DID!

Take a look at this video - you won’t believe what you see - ZOMBIES!

Oh yeah… we also learned that this happens once a year and that the Zombies collect food for a local food bank (canned food… not “Billy-in-a-jar” either).  It’s interesting, bizarre, gross, and of course entertaining all at the same time (kind-of like those hillbilly relatives of yours).  “ZOMBIE WALK” even has a slogan - “Raising the Dead to Feed the Living”.  Their goal was 1/2 ton of food this year for the food bank - THEY EXCEEDED THIS EXPECTATION!  Pretty cool.

Anyway… this GLOBAL PHENOMENON this year had at least 300 people show up as LIVING DEAD and total attendance for the strange event had over 500 people (thank heavens the Zombie Hunters were on hand to keep things in-line).  Definitely a cool event… you can check out more of the details (and maybe think about participating next year if you’d like) at myspace.com/zombiewalkcolumbus

Nothin says lovin’ like a big pile of wings - CowTV is no stranger to this idea.  BUT!  like all things that are sometimes too good to manage… always remember - MODERATION!

The following is a brief COWTV INSTRUCTIONAL VIDEO for all wing lovers and regular ‘ol fans of chicken wings.  CowTV asked several wing munchers over the course of several weeks as to their preference for wing type - DRUMMIE OR WING?  The primary response was:  DRUMMIE - apparently… it just fits into the hand easier, you can point with it if you need to, one hand holds the drummie and one hand holds a beer, and you can even use it as a threatening weapon if the situation presents itself (that was only once and we would NEVER abuse a chicken wing like that again - promise!)

This CowTV INSTRUCTIONAL VIDEO presents a unique process we came across for devouring delicious wings - not the drummie - but the wing (you know, the one with 2 bones?).  You will be amazed at the ease by which you get “a big pile of meat” - turning the bone-in wing quickly into a bone-less delicasy.  You will want to watch a few times and then try it for yourself.
